Judge Simon (seesyoursins)

(My original character, but the setting is all Pyth's.)

Downside, judges are employed from amongst the ranks of the dead to take a peek into the histories of the recently-deceased and decide whether they were naughty or nice enough to be punished or not. Simon has only been doing the job for about a thousand years: long enough to be more-or-less casual about it, but not so long that he's gone completely batshit.

He's the first judge to be appointed from ^1, the area for those who warranted punishing after death, so he has a hell of a lot of expectations to live up to, and a hell of a lot of people wanting him to slip up. He tends to deal with this pressure by being incredibly flippant.

Oh, and, being dead, if he dies he'll torch and his body will come back shiny and new. Unfortunately, you can't say the same thing for his clothes. And it only brings him back to his own personal version of optimum health: he's stuck with the glasses, because they correct a genetic disorder. Well, damn. (And in case you're wondering, the flames don't burn like ordinary fire. Have no fear of scorched fingers.)

Being a judge, if he gets the urge to then he can rummage through the past of someone nearby (say within a few feet) and see the more unsavoury aspects of their pasts. It's sort a required skill, back home. What he sees is up the the mun in question, of course: if he wants to look but you really don't want him to, then it's entirely possible that the power might go on the fritz now that it's away from its source.
