Lu (transbiomorph)

Lu has pretty much always been a superhero. She's what's known in her world as a hypercognitive -- to the more unkind, an evil genius, though she'd be quick to point out the inaccuracy of the first part of that name. She's always had a very strong sense of justice, and a firm idea of right and wrong and the boundary between them, and though she doesn't retain the very black-and-white worldview she had when she was younger, she does sometimes slip back towards it, especially when making difficult decisions. A case in point is her ruined friendship with Chips, who she still puts up with, but who she hasn't forgiven for what she sees as biokinetic date rape. Her real name is Sarah Boleyn; her nickname comes from her superhero title, Lady Absolute, inspired by these morals.

She's practically made her career out of being hideously injured and then patched back together using various bits of ingenious technology, to the point where a woman who was once entirely human is now a robotic amalgamation of conscious circuits and lenses and metal, with only a little organic matter left inside. She's been part of a few minor super-groups, long since disbanded, and enthusiastically took up Steve's proposal to found yet another. She's also gone solo as a roaming superhero, though she was careful to not sustain any injuries she couldn't repair herself. At one point in this part of her history, she battled minor supervillain Adam Baum, the cloner who later became Stormcrow's favourite chewtoy.
