pup: The Sylars

The Sylars Fight Like Children.

(All of these guys are offshoots or versions of the character Sylar from NBC's show Heroes. Not mine. Minor spoilers for the first season on this page.)

Gabriel Gray / Tinygabe (iheartwatches)

DownSy minus a live decade or so. This Gabriel has just moved out of his mother's apartment, a fact for which he has a good deal of pride, and he is endlessly frustrated by this stupid dead-end job keeping a watch shop that his inheritance has saddled him with. He's just starting to manifest his intuitive aptitude. You'll occasionally see him hanging around the mixed_muses version of Milliways.

Gabriel Gray / Amgabe (onceamonster)

Amnesia Gabriel, who only deserves the more innocent-sounding moniker "Gabriel" through sheer fluke, since the Company has removed his memory of being Sylar and with it his likelihood of answering to that name. He comes complete with every ability as of the season 1 finale, though don't ask him what they all are. Trust us: he's easily as much of a bastard as any Sylar you care to name, and is probably the closest of any of these guys to an honest-to-god sociopath. Also, he is now a girl, because of lulz.

Gabriel Gray / Halfgabe (escapedwheel)

So what happens when you decide, mainly for the lulz, that Gabriel and Sylar should today be two very messed up split personalities who also happen to be sleeping with each other via various ingenious methods? A whole lot of crack, some unusual porn and Halfnhalf, that's what.

Gabriel Gray / Teengabe (notmostpeople)

One of the two Shattered Gabriels. This one got in on the ground floor early enough to secure a room in the actual house at the Cooper farm. Before this ever happened, he was lucky enough to meet the incredibly colourful Intuition (or "the walking empathy shot", as she's been nicknamed amongst the more unkind of the Sylars), an abstract concept who is now (a) mortal and (b) his girlfriend. She's done a pretty good job of fulfilling that need to be special. All he has is intuitive aptitude, enhanced by Inty, and he doesn't particularly want anything else if it means becoming that cruel, violent future self that people used to mistake him for.

Sylar / DownSy (the_brain_man)

The first among many; he would have me say the original and best. TinyGabe, plus several years and an impromptu AU death at Kirby Plaza thus saving him the indignities of the following seasons. This Sylar found himself in the afterlife known as Downside, which is sort of an atheist Hell, and suffered a particularly horrific punishment for his liveling misdemeanours at the hands of a torturer named Jasmine before setting out to take on that profession himself. He has all of the season 1 powers, and even scooped out Eden's persuasion at one point, before he lost it again; if you're talking to a DownSy from fifty or more years along the Downside timeline, then expect him to be a newly-certified torturer with that profession's control ability over a person's nervous system.

Sylar / Sabe (leto_reficio)

Sylar when he was just finding his feet in that new identity; Sylar when he still answered to Gabriel for the sake of maintaining a pretense of innocence; Sylar when Chandra still trusted him. In the Shattered version, you'll find that the lie has already been discovered, but that they were snatched away (along with a biokinetic woman named Darla Wood) mid-confrontation. He has, depending on the point in time, intuitive aptitude, telekinesis, cryokinesis and hyleokinesis. Unless he's dead, in which case, well, sucks to be him. Maybe he'll have the power of fireworks or something.
